Of Tuscan origins, Mike Bava is an ocean navigator with over 40 Atlantic crossings under his belt and a total of about 300,000 miles sailed. He alternates navigation overseas and in the Mediterranean and his life at sea has inevitably brought him face to face with the dramatic environmental situation of the sea and the coasts. Hence the decision to commit personally to promoting greater awareness and ecological consciousness.

Mike, during all his voyages, has always used separate waste collection on board, before this practice was even in use on land.

Valeria Serra, who hails from the island of La Maddalena, is a journalist and writer. She made her debut in journalism at the age of 20 as an onboard reporter in the Transat des Alizés transatlantic race. She has worked as a correspondent all around the world for leading Italian magazines for 30 years. Passionate about photography, in 2017 she won the Ramoge Prize for environmental photography and received her award at the Oceanographic Museum in Monaco from Prince Albert II of Monaco.
